Improve Your Vision
By traditional thinking, poor eyesight is caused by genetically inheriting poorly shaped eye lenses that eventually don’t work well. But doctors have known conclusively since at least 1968 that we develop poor eyesight because of an emphasis on close work. This has long been the case because we do so much reading, and as you may imagine, has increased with increased computerization. In “Improve Your Vision Without Glasses or Contact Lenses”, by Steven M. Beresford et al., the theory is that the traditional medical community fixates on mechanical solutions and crutches, instead of delving deeper for root causes and addressing them. The authors believe that the focusing capabilities of our eyes are controlled by muscles, not the flexing of the lens or the size of the eyeball itself, and these muscles must be deliberately worked. The authors are not alone in this theory- their work appears to be based on extensive pioneering by William H. Bates, as long ago as 1940. The gist of the therapy consists of 6 focusing exercises. Your results certainly depend on how bad your eyesight is, but some people experience results in as little as a month.
